Mark Omenugha

Profile

Mark is a new associate at Whitelaw Twining, developing a broad litigation practice that includes municipal law, workplace law, human rights claims, indigenous law, and general insurance defence. Mark joins us from a leading executive employment boutique in Toronto, where he advocated on behalf of employees and employers in a broad array of workplace and human rights matters. Before his call to the bar, Mark summered and articled at a full-service firm in Toronto.

Mark obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of Windsor. While at Windsor, he was involved on campus and the wider Windsor community. He volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada, acted as Co-President for the Mental Health and Wellness Initiative, and worked with the Career Services Office. He gained early experience with advocacy through his participation in the prestigious Gale Moot Cup and Canadian National Negotiation Competition. Prior to law school, Mark earned a Bachler of Arts degree in International Relations from Western University.

Mark represents clients before the Small Claims Court, Ontario Superior Court of Justice, human rights tribunals, and other regulatory and administrative bodies.

Outside of the office, Mark is an avid sports fan, enjoys art and photography, watching the latest movies, and live music.
