Ali Sarhill

Profile

Ali joined Whitelaw Twining as a summer student in 2021. He returned for his articles in 2022 and was called to the Bar in 2023. As a student, Ali gained extensive knowledge in all aspects of litigation, assisting clients in prosecuting and defending actions.

Ali currently handles a broad range of claims with a growing focus in construction, subrogation, corporate-commercial, and energy litigation matters. Ali is dedicated to delivering practical and cost-effective outcomes for his clients – no matter how challenging the task is. Ali is adamant that working collaboratively with his clients is crucial to achieving the best outcomes.

Ali has a strong passion for advocacy and community involvement. He has volunteered with Pro Bono Canada, National Canadian Lawyers’ Initiative, Business Venture Clinic and various refugee settlement organizations to assist countless individuals, families, and early-stage businesses in accessing critical legal services. He has also participated in numerous negotiation and trial competitions.

Outside the office, Ali is passionate about video games (having competed professionally), gardening, and cooking. Ali also enjoys skiing, hiking the rock mountains, and playing table tennis and soccer.
