Chelsi joined Whitelaw Twining in 2021 as a Legal Assistant and quickly advanced to a Paralegal and Legal Hybrid position. Chelsi assists multiple lawyers within the firm’s growing Commercial Litigation Practice Group. Chelsi has assisted with matters before all levels of court in British Columbia, including matters before regulatory tribunals such as the British Columbia Securities Commission and Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization.
Throughout her career, Chelsi has gained experience in a wide array of practice areas which includes commercial matters, securities, wills and estates, personal injury, and insurance matters involving subrogated claims. Chelsi uses her strong organization skills to ensure her lawyers feel properly supported and files are advanced in a timely manner.
Chelsi is passionate about her work and thrives on learning new tasks and skills. Chelsi assists lawyers with all aspects of a file which includes drafting pleadings, performing legal research, preparing memoranda, reviewing and analyzing document disclosure, corresponding and liaising with opposing counsel and clients, preparing for examinations for discovery and court appearances, and other crucial tasks to ensure the best results for achieved for clients.
When not working, Chelsi can be found exploring nature with her dog Kaluah, reading a good novel, and spending time with her family and friends.
