Profile

Mathew joined Whitelaw Twining as an associate in July 2022. He maintains a general insurance practice with an interest in construction, subrogation, and surety matters. Mathew has experience representing clients in both arbitrations and mediations, in all levels of court in Alberta, and before various regulatory bodies and tribunals.

Prior to joining our team Mathew practiced for five years at a prominent litigation firm in Central Alberta. During this time, he represented clients on a broad range of litigation matters, including complex multi-party construction and commercial disputes. Through this experience, he gained extensive knowledge in all aspects of litigation, advising businesses and individuals in both defending and prosecuting actions.

Mathew obtained a Bachelor of Management degree in Finance (with Distinction) from the University of Lethbridge followed by his Juris Doctor from the University of Saskatchewan. Mathew takes a client-centered and practical approach to matters, utilizing experience and education to effectively consider and resolve matters for his clients.
