TJ first joined Whitelaw Twining in 2020 as a summer articling student. He returned for his articles in 2021 and was called to the bar in 2022. TJ practices in the area of general insurance litigation, with a developing focus in bodily injury, property damage and subrogation matters. TJ is passionate about advocacy and works collaboratively with clients to provide practical, effective and favourable outcomes.
Prior to becoming a lawyer, TJ obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree with Distinction, majoring in Business Economics and Law from the University of Alberta. In 2021, he received his Juris Doctor from the Faculty of Law at Thompson Rivers University. Throughout law school, TJ was actively involved in the legal community by volunteering with Pro Bono Students Canada and maintained the role of an executive at his law school’s Human Rights Club, serving as its Vice President from 2020-2021. He continues to volunteer in the legal community whenever possible.
In his free time, he enjoys playing sports, travelling and spending time with his family and friends.
