Profile

Hania joined Whitelaw Twining as a newly called lawyer. She was called to the British Columbia bar in 2025.

Prior to joining Whitelaw Twining, Hania articled at one of the largest full-service firms in the British Columbia Interior. She developed an interest in litigation by regularly representing clients in Supreme Court of British Columbia chambers and working with senior lawyers on complex matters.

Hania graduated from Thompson Rivers University’s Faculty of Law in 2024. During law school, she was involved in the South Asian Law Students’ Association and served as co-president. She competed in the 2023 National Immigration, Refugee, and Citizenship Law Moot, where her factum placed second. She spent her summers exploring and gaining practical experience in various areas of law and volunteered with the Law Students’ Legal Advice Program, where she provided legal advice to low-income individuals.

Before law school, Hania earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of British Columbia. She was a legislative editor for UBC Model Parliament and volunteered in the offices of Members of Parliament and ministers.

Outside the office, Hania values spending time with her family and friends and spoils her cat, Paris. She is also a big Canucks fan, enjoys the outdoors, and loves trying new restaurants and cafes.
