Jakub Czypinski

Profile

Prior to joining Whitelaw Twining in 2025, Jakub completed his articles at an international full-service firm and gained further experience at a prominent litigation boutique following his call to the bar in 2024. Jakub has a broad litigation practice handling civil, commercial and insurance matters, and has appeared before the Supreme Court of British Columbia and the Alberta Court of King’s Bench.

Jakub has a background in business and banking, and earned a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from the University of Manitoba in 2020, with majors in Marketing and Logistics & Supply Chain Management. Jakub holds a J.D. from the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia, where he also worked as a research assistant in the areas of securities law and banking regulation, and edited articles for publication in the Canadian Business Law Journal and the American Business Law Journal.

Jakub was born and raised in Winnipeg, where he played the bass guitar as a member of a progressive rock group. In his spare time, Jakub enjoys trying new restaurants with his friends, reading about history and foreign affairs, and spending time outdoors.
