Profile
Carly has been in the legal industry since 2010, progressing from a legal assistant to a paralegal. She began at Whitelaw Twining in 2012, and became a paralegal in 2015, in the plaintiff personal injury group. Mostly recently, since 2019, she has been working in insurance defence. Carly has enjoyed expanding her knowledge with the help of many influential, supportive mentors, helping her to continue to grow within the legal industry.
On a day-to-day basis, she is involved in the management of files, from intake, to preparing files for examinations for discovery, mediation, and trial. She is responsible for assisting lawyers with all aspects of file management including but not limited to, obtaining documents, analyzing records, drafting pleadings and court applications, retaining and instructing experts, preparing lists of documents and daily communications with clients and related parties.
In her free time, Carly enjoys spending time with her family, whether it be at home, or at one of her kids’ many sporting activities. She also enjoys spending time with friends, as well as cooking and trying new recipes.
