Gillian Haggett

Profile

Gillian joined the firm as a summer student in 2022 and returned to complete her articles in 2023. Gillian’s practice is focused on commercial litigation; however, she continues to develop a general practice including bodily injury, construction and Indigenous law. She is a problem solver and strong advocate and has appeared on behalf of clients at both the Provincial Court and Supreme Court of British Columbia.

Prior to attending law school, Gillian obtained a Bachelor of Science specializing in immunology and infection at the University of Alberta. She gained experience in public health and brings this scientific background into her analytical approach to the law. She received her Juris Doctor from the University of Victoria in 2023. While in law school Gillian enjoyed volunteering with the Law Students’ Society and Pro Bono Students Canada, as well as competing on behalf of UVic in the Wilson Moot in 2022.

Outside of the office, Gillian enjoys a workout class at one of Vancouver’s many fitness studios, a happy hour or beach-day with friends, and spending time with her beloved cats, Gus and Frank.
