Profile
Nisha has over 20 years of legal experience, specializing in insurance defence litigation. Nisha manages a large volume of files and is involved in complex insurance matters, utilizing best practices to ensure that litigation is advanced efficiently and effectively, and that best outcome is achieved for the client. Nisha regularly drafts pleadings and other legal documents, reviews and assesses production, liaises with experts, prepares briefs, and assists in preparation for examination, mediation, settlement conferences and trial. She has attended to matters in Small Claims Court and the Landlord and Tenant Board and has experience in judgement enforcement and negotiated settlement with debtors. Notably, Nisha has attended court to assist lawyers during trial.
Nisha has also been an educator, instructing law clerks in various areas of law, including civil litigation, business law and employment law, as well as preparing students for the Paralegal Licensing Examination with the Law Society of Ontario.
Outside the office, Nisha enjoys yoga, meditation, reading, writing poetry, dancing, biking, and nature hikes.
