Paul Cavin

Profile

Paul joined Whitelaw Twining as a summer student in 2022. He returned for his articles in 2023 and was called to the Bar in 2024. He practices civil litigation with a focus on commercial, construction, and insurance law.

Paul has appeared in matters before the Alberta Court of Justice, the Court of King’s Bench of Alberta, and the Provincial Court of Saskatchewan. Paul aims to deliver practical and cost-effective results for his clients. He employs an assertive but tactful approach to achieve favorable outcomes.

Paul graduated from the University of Saskatchewan College of Law. During law school, Paul volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada in conjunction with the Public Legal Education Association. He also completed a criminal law intensive practicum. This clinical experience allowed him to further hone his advocacy skills. Prior to law school, Paul graduated with distinction from the University of Victoria where he completed his undergraduate degree. He majored in history and received a minor in economic policy.

In his spare time, Paul enjoys playing soccer and hockey as well as finding new spots to go hiking and camping.
