Ryan Vandespyker

Profile

Ryan joined Whitelaw Twining as an associate following his call to the British Columbia bar in 2025. He previously completed his articles at a national law firm in Vancouver. Ryan practices general civil litigation, with a particular interest in commercial and insurance coverage matters.

Ryan graduated from the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law in 2024. Throughout law school, he was involved in his academic community, working as a teaching assistant for first-year students in constitutional law, publishing a paper on Canadian election law, and serving on the law school’s student society. Prior to law school, Ryan earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Simon Fraser University and held various roles in private, non-profit, political, and government organizations.

Outside of work, Ryan enjoys cooking and solo travel, and he hopes to maintain his record of having visited as many countries as his age.
