WT is committed to community engagement and giving back. One of WT’s oldest traditions is hosting an annual fundraising event in support of the United Way. Each year, an associate lawyer volunteers to coordinate the event, with support of volunteers from throughout the firm, including other associate lawyers, paralegals, administrative staff, students, and of course, from the Directorship.
The event will begin tonight with a representative from United Way speaking to our firm outlining the wonderful work they do, and all the various projects and uses the money raised will go towards. This gives the members of our firm an opportunity to appreciate where funds are going, while encouraging team members to donate what they can, while having fun and connecting with one another.
WT raises funds through a Wine Draw, Silent Auction, Live Auction, and for the first time this year, a Trivia Game. The Directors and associate lawyers donate items and activities for the Auctions, and everyone has the chance to place their bids and win fun prizes, while helping a great cause.
Tonight, we announce the winners of the Wine Draw and the Silent Auction, and take to the bidding for the Live Auction, with a mix of Trivia in between. This is an event the firm looks forward to each year, and we are excited to have team members from our Vancouver office, Calgary office, Victoria office, and those in our various satellite offices, joining us virtually.
