Prab Dhami

Profile

Prab is a seasoned legal professional with over a decade of experience, having been called to the Bar in 2014. She began her career at a prominent insurance firm in Toronto, where she honed her expertise in insurance law. Her practice is rooted in civil litigation, largely in insurance defence, tort, and accident benefits. She has developed a particular focus on personal injury and property loss claims and has led numerous complex files to successful resolution. Notably, she headed the subrogation department, where she managed recovery efforts and strategic litigation initiatives.

Prab holds a Graduate LLB from the University of Birmingham, where she graduated with distinction and was awarded the Hogan Lovells Prize for achieving the best results in the Graduate LLB Program. During her time there, she was also selected to join the Birmingham Civil Council’s civil litigation team, gaining valuable hands-on experience in public legal service. Prior to that, she earned an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and Public Policy from the University of Guelph, laying a strong foundation for her legal career.

Outside of her legal practice, Prab is passionate about traveling, cooking, and staying active. She finds joy in watching her two boys play competitive hockey and soccer and spends much of her free time as a part-time Uber driver heading to various rinks across the city.
