Profile

Hailey initially joined Whitelaw Twining as a summer student in 2022. She returned for her articles in 2023 and was called to the bar in 2024. At present, she practices in the area of insurance defence litigation with an emphasis on personal injury and subrogation work. Hailey has appeared on behalf of clients before the Provincial and Supreme Courts of British Columbia. She is known as a tenacious advocate who approaches her work with meticulous attention to detail and is committed to achieving the best possible outcome for her clients.

Hailey graduated cum laude from her Juris Doctor in the English Common Law program at the University of Ottawa. Prior to law school, she attended the University of the Fraser Valley. In 2020 she received her Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice with a minor in French, graduating with distinction. During the latter half of her undergraduate years, Hailey worked as a crisis interventionist with the Ann Davis Transition Society.

Prior to joining WT, Hailey has worked as a student caseworker in the tenant division of the uOttawa Community Legal Clinic, and with the Ticket Defence Program. In 2021, she was awarded a fellowship to work as a legal advocate with Prisoners’ Legal Services. Hailey has also competed in two competitive moots. These experiences fuelled her passion for advocacy and remain highlights of her law degree.

In her spare time, Hailey can be found on the hiking trails, unwinding with a good book and spending quality time with her family and friends.
