Sam Macdonald

Profile

Sam joined the firm as a summer student in 2021 and returned for his articles in 2022. He primarily practices in the area of commercial litigation, and is eager to gain experience in general insurance litigation as well. Sam enjoys advocating for clients through creative problem solving and has appeared in the Provincial and Supreme Court of British Columbia.

Prior to law school, Sam obtained a Bachelor of Arts and Science from Quest University, with a focus on political science. In 2022, Sam received his Juris Doctor from Thompson Rivers University. While in law school, Sam participated in the Philip C. Jessup International Moot Court Competition where he placed third for overall oralist and third for written submissions at nationals. In his final year, Sam won the TRU Law Internal Moot Court Competition and the Gregory S. Pun K.C. Prize in Advocacy.

Outside the office, Sam enjoys playing sports in local rec leagues and spending time with his friends, family, and two dogs, Butter and Maple.
