Sara Shuchat

Sara’s litigation practice encompasses a range of commercial, regulatory, and employment disputes, including matters involving breaches of fiduciary duties, securities violations, corporate takeovers, and human rights complaints. Sara is a dedicated advocate who works with clients to implement practical solutions to complex problems. She values building strong client relationships by developing a deep understanding of their organizations and long-term strategic goals.

Sara is the head of Whitelaw Twining’s employment law group. She enjoys crafting legal and strategic advice to employers on issues concerning employment contracts, contractor agreements, employee terminations, enforcement of post-employment obligations and restrictive covenants, employment and workplace policies, wrongful dismissal claims, employment standards complaints, discrimination and harassment claims, and injunctive relief.

Outside the office, Sara revels in culinary experiments in her kitchen, tries to keep her succulents alive (often an exercise in futility), and hikes the Vancouver trails with her rambunctious dog, Huey.
