Profile

Spencer joined Whitelaw Twining in 2020 after completing her articles at a national firm in Vancouver. She practices in the areas of general insurance litigation and coverage. Spencer is passionate about advocacy, and she works collaboratively to craft the best solutions for clients.

While in law school Spencer was actively engaged with her student community as co-President of the Feminist Law Club, resulting in her being awarded the Bonnie Bryant Memorial Scholarship for her contributions to women in law. In 2018, she was a winner at the BC Law Schools Competitive Moot and participated in a semester-long exchange to the Faculty of Law at the University of Hong Kong. Spencer was similarly involved in her undergraduate community, co-founding a club to help international students connect with everything BC has to offer, which thrives to this day. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in the History and Philosophy of Science from UBC, and subsequently worked as a landscaper for several years prior to attending law school.

In her free time, Spencer enjoys traveling, skiing at Whistler and Mt. Washington, and rock climbing.
