Profile

Emily is the newest member of Whitelaw Twining’s corporate-commercial group. A bright, pragmatic litigator, Emily is developing her advocacy skills in employment and human rights matters, defamation claims and general commercial disputes.

While in law school, Emily volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada, was an elected member of the Society of Law Students, participated in the Philip C. Jessup International Moot Court Competition and worked as a student editor for the Canadian Journal of Contemporary and Comparative Law. Emily achieved Dean’s List standing and was awarded the Norton Rose Fulbright Canada LLP Prize in property law and the Dean’s Course Prize in international law.

Prior to joining Whitelaw Twining, Emily clerked for five judges at the Supreme Court of British Columbia, which has given her remarkable insight into the adjudication process and primed her for a successful career in litigation.

Outside of the office, Emily is a triathlete with a zest for unique culinary experiences and an insatiable travel bug.
