Jocelyn Bell

Profile

Jocelyn is an experienced litigator with a diverse background in employment law, commercial and construction litigation, collections, and insurance defence.

She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Calgary in 2019, and was called to the British Columbia bar in 2020. For her undergraduate degree, Jocelyn attended Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops, BC, where she grew up. Here, she obtained a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Sociology (focusing on crime, social issues, and risk analysis) and a minor in Psychology (focusing on child development and mental health issues) in 2015.

Jocelyn has honed her litigation abilities through preparing for and attending numerous court hearings and trials. For most of her career, Jocelyn attended chambers hearings in both the Provincial and Supreme Courts in BC many times per month, where she gained invaluable hands-on experience and refined her written and oral advocacy skills. She is also deeply committed to mentorship, having supported and assisted many law students and junior associates through formal and informal means throughout her legal career.

Outside of the office, Jocelyn loves to share a good laugh with family and friends, tend to her many beloved pets, cook, complete home renos, and stay active through running and (attempting) yoga.
