Nicola joined Whitelaw Twining as an associate in 2020. Prior to joining the firm, Nicola worked at a regional firm in Calgary, where she practiced employment law, insurance defence, and commercial litigation. Nicola now practices employment law and general insurance litigation with a focus on property damage and subrogation. Nicola thoroughly enjoys working with her clients and seeks to find creative and practical solutions to resolve their legal problems.

Nicola has appeared on behalf of clients in matters before the Provincial Court and Court of Queen’s Bench in Alberta, as well as the Provincial Court and Supreme Court of British Columbia.

In her spare time, Nicola enjoys traveling, playing tennis, cooking, walking her dog, and spending time with her husband and daughter. Nicola especially enjoys playing a competitive game of cribbage or backgammon against her husband.
