Profile

Cory is a seasoned litigator with extensive subject matter expertise, including class action claims, commercial litigation, professional liability, construction, oil and gas energy disputes, shareholder disputes, commercial host liability, and historical abuse claims. Through his diverse practice, Cory has a reputation of reaching practical and efficient resolution for each client, by applying his in-depth knowledge of both the law and various commercial/ insurance industries.

Over the past two decades, Cory has developed a diverse legal practice with a focus on insurance and professional liability defence, serious personal injury claims, estate litigation, class action and construction law. He has successfully resolved complex legal claims for numerous clients in hundreds of mediations and judicial dispute resolution hearings. Cory understands that not all legal battles can be resolved, and has extensive courtroom experience, having appeared in all levels of Court in both Alberta and New Brunswick, in addition to advocating for clients before the Supreme Court of Canada. Most recently Cory has been the lead counsel on two of the leading cases in Alberta involving serious claims of ongoing chronic pain and somatic symptom disorder.

Through his extensive legal expertise and experience, Cory offers his clients sage advice that always focusses on their best interests and obtaining the best possible result, whether that be through settlement or a Courtroom battle.

When he’s not in the office, Cory’s life revolves around his wife and two young daughters. They enjoy spending time in the mountains hiking, golfing and skiing. Cory also enjoys playing baseball, watching the blue jays, and spending time with friends and family.
