Meera Jain

Profile

Meera is a new associate at Whitelaw Twining. She joins us from a large regional law firm in Vancouver. Meera specializes in complex insurance matters, including personal injury defence, commercial litigation, professional liability, subrogation, and coverage. Meera is passionate about working with people and developing effective legal strategies. She has exceptional analytical abilities and strong oral and written communication skills, making her a powerful advocate in court. She has appeared at all levels of court in British Columbia, including the Court of Appeal.

Meera was called to the bar in 2013. She obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Toronto with a double major in Political Science and Ethics, Law and Society. She graduated from UBC Law in 2012 and articled at a local boutique full-service firm. Meera also completed her MBA at Sauder School of Business in 2018. Meera’s unique business and legal background allow her to develop case strategies that integrate her client’s business objectives while achieving the best outcome on the case.

In her spare time, Meera enjoys spending time with her two energetic little boys and her beloved dog, a pug a poo named Douglas. She is passionate about travel. Recent trips include exploring Paris, Bordeaux, and Morocco with her two little ones.
