Andrew Epstein

Profile

Andrew has been providing legal advice to the insurance industry and self-insured corporations for more than 30 years.

He has extensive experience in multi-party litigation, including construction disputes; catastrophic bodily injury claims; subrogation of property loss claims; and coverage disputes, including defending coverage opinions in court. He has also handled claims relating to class actions, professional liability, transportation and directors’ and officers’ liability before all courts in British Columbia, Alberta, the Federal Courts of Canada and a variety of administrative tribunals and arbitrations. Andrew frequently handles cases at the appellate level. He has also provided neutral coverage evaluations in a coverage dispute.

Andrew has also represented commercial clients in construction lien and delay claims, shareholder disputes and injunctions as well as real estate disputes.

With a mixture of practical experience, a commonsense approach and a deep knowledge of the relevant law, Andrew is ready to assist his clients with whatever their legal needs require.

Andrew is a frequent and popular speaker at legal and insurance industry conferences and author of numerous papers of interest to the industry.

When not working, Andrew likes to travel internationally, cook and play in competitive poker tournaments and un-competitive rounds of golf.
